I've been working this morning in my test environment with the release of Windows 10 1511 on WSUS.

I approved the update, but my test machine would not download it.

After interrogating the Windows Update log on my Windows 10 machine using the Get-WindowsUpdateLog PowerShell cmdlet, I could see the location of the HTTP request that was failing.

The file was located correctly, however I was receiving a 404 when I was trying to load it. Looking at the IIS logs on my WSUS server, I was seeing a 404.3. Adding the .esd MIME type to IIS for the WSUS server as application/octet-stream allows the IIS server to serve the new update file type, and is pushed correctly to the client.
